Job Title : Tour Guide
Location : Glen Canyon Dam and Carl Hayden Visitors Center (CHVC), Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Page, AZ
Schedule : Full-time, variable hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. based on seasonal tour schedules. Closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong public speaking skills and the ability to effectively communicate and manage large groups.
• Knowledge of the local area’s geography, geology, and history is preferred.

Duties:

• Conduct guided tours of Glen Canyon Dam and Powerplant, providing educational and interpretive services to visitors.
• Operate the tour desk at CHVC, handling reservations, ticket sales, and customer inquiries.
• Collect and reconcile tour fees, and prepare financial reports and deposits as specified by Reclamation.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service, managing large groups and addressing any visitor concerns or emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols during tours, including security checks and the proper use and maintenance of tour equipment.
