UFG is currently hiring for a
Sr. Claims Administrative Associate to work in an internal and customer facing role that provides support in adjusting claims from point of intake to final resolution. This role helps create efficient processes to assist the adjusting team to settle claims quickly and accurately. Some of the key areas this role will have oversight for are: External systems, Suppliers, Payments, Forms and Document creation. Assisting with reports and backing up other essential activities as needed.
Responsibilities: - Assume responsibility for a portion of the daily routine as related to Corporate Claims Customer Service Center or SVP of Claims, i.e. ACC supplier database, C-Forms, W-9 letter, transcription of dictated letters, memos and reports, answer customer inquiries via phone, take new losses via phone, create and maintain forms, document processes and implement new procedures.
- Own key responsibilities for Wolters Kluwer system, including onboarding firms, monitoring invoices, and updating firm's rates. Help develop efficient processes for litigated claims utilizing Wolters Kluwer system.
- Managing ACC suppliers- verifying W-9s and ensuring we are compliant by utilizing Sovos.
- Processing payments and ensuring we have robust processes that include oversight.
- Utilize third party vendors systems and create training materials as needed: OneInc, Corvel, Compex, CIOX, N2Uitive, Sovos, Language Lines, Mimecast, as well as others.
- Provide phone support for customer incoming calls regarding claim status, payments, setting up new claims, etc.
- Mail out forms, documents and checks as needed as well as help create new forms.
- Assist with training of other staff as needed.
- Maintain reserve reports, reinsurance reports and any other reports required by management
- Perform administrative duties as requested by the Claims Administrative Supervisor
Qualifications: Education: - High School or GED
- Prefer a minimum of 2 years post High School education.
Certifications/Designations: - Prefer a Certificate in General Insurance or enroll in the General Insurance Program and complete within two years
Experience: - Prefer at least two years of experience working in a similar role- Administrative, Customer Service, Paralegal, Medical.
Working Conditions: - General Office Environment.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work from home if needed.
Knowledge, skills & abilities: - Demonstrate strong skills in Microsoft office- Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills - utilizing both phone and written communication.
- Proficient computer skills in multiple databases (ACC, Wolters Kluwer, Image Right,)
- Good organizational skills with ability to multitask and set priorities.
- Able to exercise good judgment
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Willingness to promote teamwork by offering assistance when needed and soliciting input from others
- Demonstrate abilities to lead and influence others positively, especially during times of change.
