Job Description: A flexible position for a seasoned accountant or controller with US Federal Government contractor accounting experience wishing to work with a growing small business.

Requirements
The Controller will manage GSSHealth accounting operations and financial health including.
Responsibilities: •Accounting: Overseeing bookkeeper and external CPAs, conducting monthly close
•Forecasting: Developing and monitoring financial performance metrics
•Tax compliance: Working with CPA to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
•Strategic decisions: Supporting the CEO on the company's strategic financial decisions, such as pricing and contract negotiations
•External auditors: Working with external auditors to prepare required reports and documentation
•Ensuring systems remain in compliance with DCAA requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree with a major or minor in a relevant field plus 5 years U.S. Federal Government contracting experience.
Experience: Experience with DCAA compliant accounting systems is essential.
Knowledge and Skills: •Interest in health and development programs in low and low-middle income countries
•U.S. Federal Government budget and reporting requirements
•Implementation of management quality control programs
•Ability to work independently with limited supervision
•Excellent organizational skills
•Ability to work on a variety of special projects, concurrently
•Ability to work under pressure
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
