Job Description

A large facility located in long beach, NY is actively seeking a Food Service Director to join our dynamic team of professionals.

Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Oversight of Dietary Departmentin a Skilled Nursing facility

Knowledge of regulating compliance

Staffing and quality nutritionalservices

Oversee food preparation, portionsizes, and the overall presentation of food

Inspect supplies, equipment, andwork areas

Ensure employees comply withhealth and food safety standards and regulations

Investigate and resolvecomplaints regarding food quality or service

Requirement of job :

•Mustpossess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, familymembers, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

•Must be knowledgeable of dietary practices andprocedures as well as the laws, regulations and guidelines governing dietaryfunctions in the long-term care facility.

•Mustpossess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with andsupervise other personnel.

•Musthave the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret theprograms, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the DietaryServices Department.

•Mustmaintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of dietary service areas; mustperform regular inspections of dietary service areas for sanitation, order,safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.

2 years minimum experience in healthcare (food and nutrition)
