Farm Director HAYWARD , Wisconsin Apply Now JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Title: Farm Director Reports To: PresidentFLSA Status: Exempt Annual Contract: Full Time 52 Weeks Rate of Pay:Dependent on qualifications Posting Date: May 01, 2024 ApplicationDeadline: May 14, 2024, or until filled Start Date: As soon as possibleGeneral Position Summary: The purpose of the Lac Courte Oreilles OjibweUniversity Farm Director is to carry out the mission of LCOOU and theprogrammatic vision of the Farm through administration of the Farmincluding the supervision of Farm Staff. The LCOOU Farm aims to increasefood sovereignty and provide education and technical assistance for theLCO community and surrounding areas, provide opportunities for LCOOUstudents to learn, research and work with Farm Staff, provideeducational opportunities such as community and K-12 education, andresearch and innovate sustainable agricultural practices through acultural lens. Key Responsibilities: The Farm Director will Write andmanage grants to support the long-term objectives of the farm which willinclude creation of grants and maintaining reporting as well assupporting the efforts of the LCOOU Farm staff through seekingadditional grant funding when necessary. Manage the farm property andinventory (machinery, buildings and other structures) in collaborationwith LCOOU\'s Chief Operating Officer, LCOOU Maintenance Department,etc. with a focus on land stewardship. Supervise and mentor the ProposedOutreach Educator and Production Manager and support their efforts bycollaboratively creating reasonable goals in their focus areas anddocumenting outcomes and achievements of the farm including foodproduction, distribution, outreach and education. Manage an online farmstore, including documenting inventory and delegating the processing oforders Maintain existing partnerships and create new partnerships tobroaden the scope of the research and educational opportunities forLCOOU students Lead and support Farm Staff in efforts to mentor andassist with sustainable agriculture development at the outreach sites,including Red Cliff, Bad River, and Lac du Flambeau Serve as arepresentative of the LCOOU Farm on LCOOU committees, applicablecoordinated service teams, and any other applicable representationopportunities as required Produce annual reports on farm goals andobjectives to include programs, participation, accomplishments, andfuture development goals Other duties as assigned ***** OTHEREXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: .
